The Effect of Special Endurance Training Using Production, Maintenance, and Mixed Methods on the Development of Strength Endurance and Speed Endurance for Soccer Players
Abstract
Study Aims to:investigate the effect of special endurance training using the production method on a number of physical variables among youth soccer players. The researchers used the experimental method due to its suitability to the nature of the research. The study sample consisted of players from the (Bazoaya) Sports Club for youth soccer, totaling (35) players. The sample was divided into three experimental groups through random selection using a lottery method, with (10) players in each group. Players who participated in the pilot study, totaling (5) players, were excluded. Pre-tests were conducted for the groups, followed by the application of the training content, which lasted (8) weeks with (3) training sessions per week, and then post-tests were conducted. The data were statistically processed using the (SPSS) program. The researchers concluded that the production method training conducted by the first experimental group had a positive effect on strength endurance as opposed to speed endurance, while the maintenance group did not show development in strength endurance and speed endurance. The mixed-method group showed development in both strength endurance and speed endurance. The researchers recommend including special endurance training using the production and mixed methods in training programs based on the results achieved
