Abstract

The study of administrative practices and the relationship between leaders and members of their administrative boards is considered an important administrative topic, particularly when applied to presidents of Paralympic federations and provincial Paralympic committees, given their significant role in the development of Paralympic sports in Iraq, as well as in promoting the social integration and physical and psychological preparation of individuals with disabilities. Therefore, this study aimed to adapt the Administrative Practices Questionnaire developed by Khalil (2025) and the Relationship between Presidents and Members of Their Administrative Boards Questionnaire developed by Al-Wattar (2025). The study also sought to identify the levels of administrative practices and the levels of the relationship between presidents and members of their administrative boards across their dimensions, determine the nature of the relationship between the two variables, and identify the contribution of the dimensions of administrative practices to the relationship between presidents and members of their administrative boards.

The researcher employed a descriptive method using both survey and correlational approaches because they suited the nature of the study. The research population consisted of 108 members of the administrative boards of Iraqi Paralympic federations and provincial Paralympic committees. The researchers selected the sample using the comprehensive census method. The study used the Administrative Practices Questionnaire and the Relationship between Presidents and Members of Their Administrative Boards Questionnaire as research instruments. The collected data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS).

The findings indicated that the research sample showed high levels of administrative practices and a strong relationship between presidents and members of their administrative boards. Furthermore, the results revealed a statistically significant positive correlation between the two variables, as well as varying contribution rates of the dimensions of administrative practices to the relationship between presidents and members of their administrative boards.
