The importance of this research stems from its aim to provide a scientific perspective on the impact of learning motivation on discus throw performance and to reveal the nature of the relationship between the two variables. This is based on the conviction that developing the student's psychological well-being is a fundamental step in improving their motor and skill performance. Through the researchers' observation of second-year students in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences during their track and field classes, and in agreement with their supervisor, they noted clear variation in students' discus throw learning levels. The research aimed to identify the level of learning motivation and its relationship to discus throw achievement among second-year students in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences. The researchers used a descriptive approach with correlational methods, as it best suited the nature of the problem. The research population consisted of 150 second-year students from the 2025-2026 academic year, from which the researchers selected a sample of 130 students. Data were collected using a learning motivation scale and a discus throw achievement test, then statistically analyzed to reveal the nature of the relationship between the two variables. The researchers concluded that enhancing learning motivation is an effective approach to developing athletics skills, and therefore recommended the adoption of motivating teaching methods that take into account psychological aspects and individual differences among students.
