Abstract

Scientific research has demonstrated the importance of sustainable development for teachers and educational leaders. Therefore, understanding sustainable development and scientific research is a key part of teacher and student preparation. Furthermore, motor learning and other sports sciences play a vital role in achieving sustainable development for their communities

This research aims to:

1-       Determine the effect of using a visual thinking educational program based on several Sustainable Development Goals on learning some basic badminton skills.

2-       Compare the experimental and control groups in post-tests. The researchers adopted the experimental method. The research sample consisted of 40 second-year female students in the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for the 2025-2026 academic year. They were divided into two groups of 20 students each. The two groups were then assigned teaching methods by lottery. Equivalence and homogeneity were ensured for several physical, motor, and mental variables, as well as some basic badminton skills. The data were statistically analyzed using the SPSS statistical package.

The researchers concluded the following:

-          The experimental group outperformed the control group in developing spatial intelligence and learning selected badminton skills.

The researchers recommended the necessity of using a visual thinking program based on several principles of sustainable development in learning selected basic badminton skills
