The Effect of Applying the Bransford Model Within Cognitive Perceptual Levels on the Development of Multiple Intelligences
Abstract
This study aims to investigate the effect of the Bransford Model, applied in accordance with cognitive perceptual levels, on the development of multiple intelligences among second-year students in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Mosul during the academic year of 2021–2022. The research sample is selected randomly and consists of 65 students from groups C and D of the second-year. Group D constitutes the experimental group, whereas group C serves as the control group. Equivalence and homogeneity between the two groups are established across several variables related to experimental control. The researchers adopt the experimental method as the appropriate approach to address the research problem, employing a design of equivalent groups with pre- and post-testing.
The instructional program prepared for this study extends over six weeks and incorporates a range of educational activities based on the steps of the Bransford Model. Each instructional unit lasts 90 minutes.
The main conclusions of the study indicate that:
- .The second-year students in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Mosul demonstrate an existing level of multiple intelligences.
The Bransford Model proves effective in developing multiple intelligences among the students.
