Anger Rumination and Its Relationship to Psychological Quality of Life Among Female Futsal Players
Abstract
The study aimed to identify the degree of both anger rumination and psychological quality of life, and the nature of the relationship between them among female futsal players. The researchers used the descriptive approach with a survey method for its suitability and the nature of the research. The research population consisted of female futsal club players in the Kurdistan League for advanced women participating in the Premier League competitions for the sports season (2023-2024AD), which numbered (10) clubs including (144) players. The research sample included (56) female futsal players, namely the clubs (Fatat Duhok, Dokan, Permkron, Snur), constituting a percentage of (38.88%). In order to verify the research objectives, the researchers used the scales (anger rumination, psychological quality of life), and the data were processed using statistical methods (arithmetic mean, standard deviation, "t" test for one sample, simple correlation coefficient, Spearman-Brown test). The data were processed using the SPSS statistical program, and the researchers concluded the following:
- Female players in the Premier League futsal clubs have low levels of anger rumination and good psychological well-being, as demonstrated by comparing the arithmetic mean values with the hypothetical mean for each variable.
- There is a significant negative (inverse) relationship between anger rumination and psychological well-being for female players in the Premier League futsal clubs. The researchers concluded the following:
•The experimental groups (male and female students) that used probing thinking strategies in blended learning outperformed the control groups (male and female students) that used the traditional teaching method in cognitive achievement tests for a number of badminton skills
