The Relative Importance of the Skilled Performance Battery on Practical Achievement of Third-Year Students in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences
Abstract
The aim of this research is to identify the relative importance of the Skilled Performance Battery in predicting practical achievement in some practical subjects for students in the College of Physical Education.
The researchers used the descriptive approach with the correlational method, and the sample consisted of (91) students representing the third stage in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, while the research tools consisted of a battery of skilled performance characteristics consisting of (6) tests representing((30m jump start, college motivation, Barrow zigzag, attention span, 15s in place, run in the from of 8 under the crossbar) The mean, standard deviation, simple and multiple correlation coefficient, as well as the two methods of all regressions and selective regression were used as statistical methods. The results included:
The Skilled Performance Characteristics Battery demonstrated relative importance, with a significant contribution to the practical academic achievement of third-year students in the College of Physical Education, amounting to 27%.
The Skilled Performance Characteristics Battery variable with the greatest impact on practical academic achievement was transition speed, represented by the 30m jump test, with a significant contribution of 20%.
Two predictive equations, one long and one short, were found to be significant and with acceptable contribution, ratios if we take into account other aspects of skilled performance.
