The Effect of Special Preventive Exercises Using a Proposed Device Based on Artificial Intelligence in Reducing Shoulder Joint Pain Among Mosul University Volleyball Team Players
Abstract
This study examines the impact of a preventive exercise program on reducing shoulder joint pain using an AI-based device. The device measures the power and speed of volleyball spikes. Researchers hypothesized that supportive rehabilitative methods would help alleviate chronic shoulder pain in volleyball players, enhance spiking mechanics, and reduce the risk of shoulder injuries. The program included six weeks of preventive and therapeutic exercises, along with physical tests to evaluate spike power and speed among players from the University of Mosul volleyball team. Pre- and post-tests were conducted, and the data were analyzed statistically. A one-group experimental design with pre- and post-measurements was chosen because it suited the study's goals. Results showed that combining rehabilitation exercises with the AI device led to significant improvements in shoulder mobility and reductions in shoulder pain. The main recommendations are to implement a prevention program and an AI device in volleyball training to enhance performance and reduce injury risk.
