Abstract

Individuals vary significantly in their mental levels, ranging from giftedness to average and low intelligence. As the level of intelligence differs from one individual to another, it becomes possible to observe, describe, analyze, and interpret this variation.

The current research aimed to identify the level of social intelligence among students at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Duhok, in addition to revealing the differences in social intelligence between female and male students at the same college.

To achieve the research objectives, the descriptive approach using the survey method was adopted. The research population included (405) male and female students from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences – University of Duhok for the academic year (2024-2025). A random sample of (350) male and female students was selected from this population. Data were analyzed using statistical methods, specifically: percentage, arithmetic mean, and standard deviation.

In light of the findings, the study concluded that students at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences possess social intelligence, which serves as a motivator for them to achieve their goals and ambitions. The results also showed no differences in the social intelligence scale between male and female students at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Duhok.
